Ross Brown, LCMHCA

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate

I am passionate about working with clients who yearn for a deeper understanding of themselves and their interpersonal relationships. Neural connections run deep and incredibly strong making our behavior patterns habitual and passive, however often unbeknownst to us. If you’re interested in realizing yourself, cultivating awareness of self and others, and living more authentically, we may be a good fit for each other.

My therapeutic experience started in Wilderness Therapy. I worked as a direct-care field staff with broad range of students aged 10-17 years old, within their respective groups. We lived, worked, and supported students through their therapeutic outcomes. I learned how to collaborate with both the field leadership and the clinical teams to best meet students where they are and to empower them. After that, I left wilderness therapy to pursue a career as a therapist. My clinical internship was in college counseling. I loved working with college students as they navigated one of the biggest transitions of their lives, gained a deeper understanding of themselves, and helped them reassess their personal values so they could live more authentically.

As an associate counselor I have a supervisor to work with to ensure I provide the best care for my clients. I will be required to periodically audio or videotape sessions and to participate in case consultations purely for training purposes (case by case and always with written consent). My supervisor is Stephanie Robinson, PhD, LCMHC-S, LCAS, CCS, AADC, NCC. She can be reached via email: srobinsoncounseling@gmail.com or by phone: 504.473.1082.
